About

Dr. Wanda Y. Quezada Betancourt has devoted her life to serving marginalized communities with mental health services for over 15 years. She’s worked in clinical mental health counseling, substance abuse, career counseling, and spiritual counseling among other areas. She advocates for undocumented immigrants and has worked with asylum seekers for the past 10 years. 

Dr. Q. (as she prefers to be called) has years of school counseling experience and taught in public schools for over 10 years. Her focus is on: Marginalized Communities, Immigrant Populations, Christian counseling, Couples, Individual, Latino Youth, Women, and Mentoring. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered approaches with her clients as she views every individual as a unique person.

 

Personal Statement:

Her vision is to create a space for people of all walks of life to hope, to heal, and to be uplifted. Her spiritual values, life experience, and academic background have given her the tools to be of service for many.

Degree 1 – BA Degree- Education/Spanish 

Degree 2 – MA Degree- Counseling with Substance Abuse and School Counseling
