Sana is a dual board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC), as well as an adult gerontology nurse practitioner (AGNP-C).  Sana is passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults. Sana possesses strong clinical skills enhanced by natural ability to build rapport with clients and families. She follows evidence-based guidelines blended with clinical experience, personal observation, and intuition.

As a PMHNP, Sana’s role is multifaceted, including educator, mental health advocate, therapist, and scientist. With experience in acute care, primary care and inpatient care, Sana values interdisciplinary education and inter-professional collaboration, to be able to provide high-quality care.

Sana joined the specialty of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health after practicing in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care for five years. Sana is always advocating for innovations in healthcare and has special interests in the integration of behavioral medicine. 

When individuals seek help for their mental health concerns, they often bear the weight of their emotions, thoughts, and struggles. Sana uses the empathetic approach of mental health to be able to alleviate this burden by creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, validated, and supported.
